Mighty Oaks Little Acorns are pleased to offer a family support worker on a Tuesday.
Mandy will be available 9-4pm (term time only) to offer practical help and emotional support to our families experiencing short or long-term difficulties.
Family Support is defined as: a network of community based resources and services that strengthen parenting practices and the healthy development of children.

Our Family Support Worker can help with parenting issues such as establishing good routines, encouraging positive behaviour, bedtime and sleep problems, healthy eating, referrals to other agencies to support housing and benefits and supporting parental health and well-being.

Mandy has many years experience and can also offer support with Triple P Parenting - Positive Parenting Program ® is a parenting and family support system designed to prevent – as well as treat – behavioural and emotional problems in children and teenagers.
It aims to prevent problems in the family, school and community before they arise and to create family environments that encourage children to realise their potential.
What is Triple P?
Triple P is a parenting programme, for children birth - 12, but it doesn’t tell you how to be a parent. It’s more like a toolbox of ideas. You choose the strategies you need. You choose the way you want to use them. It’s all about making Triple P work for you.

The three Ps in ‘Triple P’ stand for ‘Positive Parenting Programme’ which means your family life is going to be much more enjoyable.
